Clomid

Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is an oral medication widely used to treat infertility in women who do not ovulate regularly, such as those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Storage Instructions

Store Clomid in its original packaging, in a dry place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children and check the expiration date before use. Do not use Clomid if the packaging is damaged or expired.

Side Effects

Common side effects include hot flashes, headache, nausea, breast tenderness, abdominal discomfort, and menstrual irregularities. Visual disturbances, such as blurred or double vision, spots, or flashes, are less common but require immediate discontinuation and consultation with your doctor. Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), characterized by severe abdominal pain, bloating, rapid weight gain, and difficulty breathing, is rare but serious and requires urgent medical attention. Clomid may also cause mood swings, thinning of the uterine lining, and reduced cervical mucus, which can affect fertility. The risk of multiple pregnancies (twins, triplets) is increased.

Drug Interactions

Clomid may interact with other medications, so inform your doctor about all drugs, supplements, or herbal products you are taking. Use caution when combining Clomid with hormonal therapies, anticoagulants, or medications that affect liver function. Interactions may reduce effectiveness or increase side effects. Do not use Clomid with other ovulation-stimulating drugs unless directed by your physician.
